(1907-1967) Фоккс, Джеймс Эмори ("Джимми")Бейсболист, первоначально кетчер [ catcher], потом игрок внутреннего поля [ infielder] на второй и третьей базе [ base]. В 1925-35 играл за команду "Филадельфия атлетикс" [Philadelphia Athletics]. В 1932 и 1933 был избран "самым ценным игроком" Американской лиги [ American League]. В 1935-42 играл в команде "Ред сокс" [ Boston Red Sox], в 1942-44 за "Чикаго кабс" [ Chicago Cubs] из Национальной лиги [ National League], а свой последний сезон 1945 - в "Филадельфия филлиз" [ Philadelphia Phillies]. За жизнь в бейсболе совершил 534 "круговых пробежки" [home run], что является вторым результатом в истории бейсбола. • Cobb, Tyrus Raymond (‘Ty’) [kob] [taɪ] Кобб, Тайрус Раймонд («Тай») (1886—1961), бейсболист, имевший прозвище Персик из Джорджии [‘Georgia Peach']. Левша при подаче мяча битой и правша при его выбросе рукой. Выступал за детройтских «Тигров» [‘Tigers'] (1905—26) и филадельфийских «Атлетов» [‘Athletics'] (1927—28) и был тренером «Тигров» (1921—26).
